Group Eleazar is one of four groups involved in Petra Youth Production, the youth ministry of the church called Petra Gospel Centre. About Eleazar
2 Samuel 23: 9 - 10
Next to him was Eleazar son of Dodai the Ahohite. As one of the three mighty men, he was with David when they taunted the Philistines gathered at Pas Dammin for battle. Then the men of Israel retreated but he stood his ground and struck down the Philistines till his hand grew tired and froze to the sword. The LORD brought about great victory that day. The troops returned to Eleazar, but only to strip the dead.
Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite (The Fearless) was known for standing alone against an army of Philistines. Instead of fighting this army, the men of Israel fled from the battle. As they fled away from the fight, this mighty warrior Eleazar ran into the midst of the Phillistines and destroyed the army at the end of his sword. At the end of the fight, he alone would be left standing among a field of the fallen enemy. That is the story of Eleazar. The men who fled returned only to plunder. Spiritually speaking, the only way to describe this man of war is; Eleazar had such a strong faith in God, and trust in God’s deliverance that he feared no man, or 400 men at one time.
